CATTLE DECAPITATION To Enter Studio In February

December 1, 2005

Vocalist Travis Ryan of the San Diego extreme metallers CATTLE DECAPITATION has issued the following update:

"Since we've been home, we recorded the CANINUS split 7" and have so far written eight songs for our next album, which are turning out to be very bizarre (exactly how we like it). Picture the new CANINUS split material, just longer. We're going to keep the name of the album to ourselves for a while, but let's just say it's a bit of a departure, but still very CATTLE. We've conferred with Wes Benscoter and he will continue as the artist that so greatly visualizes what we're about. We're not going to try to outdo ourselves as far as grotesqueness, because if you ask me, the cover to 'Human Jerky' (our first record) cannot and will not be topped… so whatever, opinions are like assholes, and you know what they say… Anyways we're pretty damned tired of our albums getting banned everywhere so we're going to make sure there's no buttholes or anything on the cover of the next one. We've noticed the United States and Europe REALLY hate buttholes.

"We enter the studio in February of 2006. We'll have Mr. Billy Anderson (MR. BUNGLE, SWANS, NEUROSIS, IMPALED) himself producing this monstrosity and we hope to have it out at the beginning of summer 2006 preceded and followed by our brand of ridiculous amounts of touring! We're also adding a second guitar player for the first time in CATTLE history! He'll be our rhythm guitarist and will be announced at the beginning of the year. Don't bother asking, 'cause we're not going to tell you who he is."

Upcoming CATTLE DECAPITATION shows:

Dec. 09 - The Jumping Turtle - San Marcos, CA
Jan. 29 - Whiskey A Go-Go – Hollywood, CA
